This is episode #3 of the documentary. A half hour in length, it focuses on the emotional range of flamenco and also illustrates some of the differences between flamenco forms based primarily on Spanish folklore, and flamenco forms that come more directly out of the gitano (Spanish Gypsy) experience. There is also a segment which explains why the forms based on the gitano experience so often tend to be tragic. The solos in this section are by la Paula (dance), la Macanita (cante-singing), María del Mar Moreno (dance), Manuel Parrilla (guitar), and Manuel Agujetas (cante-singing).
